In 1993, assistant RDT&E Officer for the Navy SEALs, Nick North, was asked to seek a more dependable watch for night missions and found the solution when he discovered Luminox. He worked with Luminox to develop the Original Navy SEAL watch to their specifications and the rest was history. 24 years after the initial partnership with the US Navy SEALs, the Original Navy SEAL inspired Leatherback Sea Turtle collection is being introduced at an entry price point making it accessible to a broader consumer base, yet maintaining all the defining characteristics that Luminox is known for - lightweight, tough and reliable.
